Definition: Sophro-relaxation
The sophrologist talks the patient through an interior voyage with a view to harmonizing the different levels of his/her being. The patient, lying in a quiet place, is led to use breathing to improve concentration, to relax, and to recharge his/her energy.
When the body is relaxed, the mind is also calm and the conscience focuses on inner reality, through waking dreams and visualization. In a state of relaxation, visualization becomes creative and enables a person to capture images from his/her interior world, thus discovering unexplored treasures of his/her conscience.
